Abolitionist's Speak Out

Classwork: Today we started our Civil War Unit by looking at abolitionists - those opposed to slavery. We looked at biographies of important and influential individuals of the anti-slavery movement. We read excerpts from multiple perspectives regarding the issues of slavery, including those that were in favor of it. This helped us understand the build up to the Civil War.
