Classwork: The first part of class was dedicated to taking the Latin America Map Quiz. We read an excerpt, Horrors of Conquest and discussed the impact this had on different individuals in society as well its implications with monarchs in Europe. We played a game to review absolutism and Latin America conquest.
Classwork: Today we took notes on Spanish/Portuguese conquest in Latin America. We also reviewed our Latin America Map.

Classwork: Today we finished watching the Russian Monarch documentary and reviewed the impact of Peter the Great as well as Catherine the Great. Any remaining time was used to continue working on the baseball cards.
Classwork: Today we had a gallery walk to view and discuss the 30 years war posters. We started watching a documentary about Peter the Great. *Monday is a work day for the baseball cards!
CLASSWORK: Today we used the class period to continue reading about the 30 years war, writing thesis statements and completing a group poster to show how the war affected different parts of society. We will present these posters tomorrow in class through a gallery walk.
